Introduction
You've finally pulled it off! Welcome to the exclusive club of the banana plantation owners! Isn't this great? :) What you're doing here? What kind of question is that, it's quite obvious, isn't it!?
You're supposed to cultivate bananas and sell them like crazy, what else would a banana plantation owner do!? Ok, now that we've cleared that up, just read the manual so you have a bit of an idea what to do and can perhaps become the greatest BANANAKING of all time!
Game basics
You require nothing more than an internet connection and a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) to play BananaKing. Simply click on "Register" and join the club of the banana plantation owners. Registration is quite easy, doesn't cost you anything and there is no further obligation on your part.
Once you have registered you find yourself on the status page of your RPG character. Here you can find important information about your character and also your hire link, with which you can find hire new banana plantation owners in the far reaches of the internet by placing the link appropriately.
For example, you can send the link to your friends, place it on your homepage or use it as a signature in forums. If a would-be banana plantation owner clicks on your link, you receive 1-3 Dollars and 1-3 bananas. If your hireling registers for BananaKing, you have hired a new banana plantation owner and you will receive 1 banana and 1 Dollar each time somone clicks on his/her hire link in the internet!
Once the plantation owner(s) you have hired have reached level 3, you receive 50 Dollars and 1 experience Point! You can invest your Gold in training for your character to improve his/her attributes or you can invest the money in your banana plantation. You could also use it to hire agents and spies to carry out acts of sabotage on your enemies! You can instruct them to steal bananas or Dollars from enemy plantation owners.

Status
Here you can see all of the vital information for your character, such as your attributes, inventory and game statistics. You will also find a list of the banana plantation owners you have created so far. You can also improve the following attributes of your character. The attributes of your character:
Growing time
Improving your growing time attribute will increase the growth rate for your banana plants, shortening the waiting period between harvests
Banana cultivation
Banana cultivation determines the yield of your plantations; improving the skill will increase the average yield!
Banana trading
The banana trading skill influences the prices in the marketplace; improving the skill will gradually increase the amount you receive for selling your bananas.
Plantation defense
Plantation defense influences the price of new guards and also determines how effectively they can protect your plantation. Increasing the attribute will decrease the price of new guards (once the price reaches $100 there is no further decrease!) and also increase the defensive ability of the guards.
Plantation attack
The more you increase this skill, the cheaper it is to hire agents and the more likely it becomes that your sabotage missions will be successful.
Experience
You receive experience for harvesting bananas in your plantations and also from hiring new plantation owners in the internet (if they register and reach level 3). When you have amassed enough experience, you are promoted to the next level and you receive a Dollar bonus. Your level determines directly how many plantations you can have.
Plantation
Here you will see your banana plantation. After creating your character you already possess one banana field and enough bananas to cultivate the field twice. To do so, simply click on the empty field. The banana plants will then appear and begin growing until they are ready to be harvested. The counter below the plantation shows you how long you must wait until the bananas are ripe enough to be harvested.
Once the countdown is complete, refresh the page and simply click on the field to harvest your bananas, the fruits of your labor! :) The yield is not always the same; sometimes the harvest is excellent, sometimes it is meager! You can buy new banana plants at the marketplace. Because the banana plants die after the harvest and only bear fruit once, you have to buy new plants to cultivate your field each time.
Cultivation of each field requires 36 plants. As soon as your character reaches level 2, you can buy a new banana field and expand your plantation gradually! You can cultivate each field 6 times daily and Premium players can cultivate fields 8 times a day! Here is an overview of the banana field graphics:

Marketplace
At the marketplace you can buy new banana plants for your plantation and also sell the bananas you have harvested. The price for bananas changes hourly, so it's a good idea to observe the current price and perhaps sell the bananas at a later time to make sure you get the best possible price for your harvest!
Sabotage
What would a game about banana plantation owners be if you couldn't even pester your neighbours?! Right! Utterly boring! That's why there is an area called "Sabotage" available in BananaKing. There you can spy on your competitors and steal their bananas or Dollars. Of course the agents you hire to do your dirty work cost money! You can also hire guards for your own plantation to hamper possible attacks by other planation owners.
Hacienda
Here a group of players can join forces and form a hacienda. The Link "Hacienda" can be used to either search for and join a Hacienda or, if you have already reached level 3 and have activated your e-mail, to establish your own hacienda. Once you have joined a hacienda or formed your own hacienda, you will see a menu of options you can carry out in the hacienda.
If you are an owner/admin in the hacienda, you can accept new members, grant admin privileges or dismiss members. You can also upgrade the hacienda ranch; each level you add increases the member capacity of the hacienda. To upgrade the ranch you must pay an upgrade fee that increases with the upgrade level. Clan members can donate Dollars (Only Premium players may donate, a safeguard intended to prevent abuse of the donation system!) to the hacienda to finance upgrades to the ranch.
Treasure hunt
If at some point you are out of money and also have no banana plants available to cultivate your fields or you are simply done for the day and have nothing left to do, then you can send your character on a treasure hunt. While on a treasure hunt you can find old hordes of pirate treasure, bananas, banana plants or also directly find Dollars.
You can go on a treasure hunt for up to 12 hours at a time. The longer you are on a treasure hunt, the more likely it becomes that you will find a valuable treasure. If you find bananas while on a treasure hunt, the bananas will be included in the monthly highscore ranking for the BananaKing title!
Messages
Here you can send messages to other players and also read and answer the messages you have received. You will also find any reports about sabotage attacks on your own plantation here! NOTICE: Sending obscene or insulting in-game messages can result in deletion of your game account; please read the rules for clarification!
Highscore
If you simply click on highscore, you will see the top 100 players on your server sorted by total banana harvest. If you select "BananaKing" above the highscore list, you will see the monthly banana ranking. The player at the top of this list at the end of the calender month will be crowned as the monthly BananaKing!
The monthly BananaKing statistics include: your harvested bananas, any bananas you have stolen (Any bananas stolen from YOU will be subtracted here!!) and any bananas you have found while on treasure hunts!
Profile
You can change your game settings by clicking on the "Profile" link. For example, you can add some background RPG information about your character or create a text to be sent to potential plantations owners if they click on your Victim Link! If you have a Premium account, you can upload an avatar picture for your character and also change his/her name as often as you please.
Premium
The link "Premium" leads you the area where you can buy a Premium account. If you become a Premium Player, the game is free of advertising, you can upload a character avatar, you can cultivate each field 8 times instead of only 6, you receive a credit of 500 Dollars per character level for each activated ticket and can also enjoy many other benefits!
