Military strategy and goals


 

Ruling and managing your constructed units takes place in a Battle Mirror that could be built in the Armory Room. The “Military messages” allows you to see an overview of your military actions and detailed descriptions of your every battle.


The "Unit Review" allows you to evaluate the potential of your army and to send it into battle. To begin a war you must specify the coordinates of your enemy, number of troops and to choose among the tactical attack schemes - "Not a single step back", "Do not risk", "Every man for himself'. This choice determines an army's behavior on the battlefield. Click "Send" to send your troops forth. The "Defense Doctrine" Insert allows you to determine the behavior of your troops in case of an outside attack: "to fight to the last" or "retreat in fear." The "Unit Management" allows you to manage units that have been already sent into battle and to bring them back home if needed.


To send units to attack you need energy, if you don't have enough energy you cannot send armies to attack.


A sorcerer can control three armies in the same time. This number is higher for Nomarch and Officials. You cannot send two armies to the same target, the second one can begin the walk only after the first one has arrived. Choosing a target, remember that social structure defend all their inhabitants. So if you attack a single sorcerer who belongs to a social structure or if you attack a lower social structure which belongs to an higher one (like a Demo which belongs to a Polis), the attack will be directed to the higher social structure. So a single sorcerer who lives in a structure is defended from attacks coming from outside the structure


Common armies control.
Troops could belong to an individual and to a social collective. There are two types of collective troops: an army of a territorial unit and a militia. An army of a territorial unit is bought and maintained on tax money by a Leader of a territorial unit. A militia is formed by the players and maintained with their own money. A player can send his troops to a militia anytime by using a Battle Mirror. Clicking on “Barracks” the player can order his units to come back. A territorial Leader or a specifically appointed Official rules a collective army. This management is accomplished in the appropriate buildings on the squares of social structures. The interface of a unit management is analogous to a Battle Mirror interface.


If these buildings are destroyed, armies are not lost but they cannot be controlled until the building will be created again.


Attacking armies strategy.
You can choose among the following strategy:


1. Attack/Steal
: if you win your army will steal resources from your enemy. It is possible to steal only energies. Stron and magical items cannot be stolen. If you win you get 10% of energies accumulated by the enemy or 10% of structure energy and 5% from each structure inhabitants. If you win against a structure, you will steal from all the lower structures


2. Attack/Destroy.
: this option can be used only for buildings. Using it against a single Castle is useless, because all the items built inside the Castle cannot be destroyed by an enemy. If your attack is successfull, in the Nom, Dem, Polis will be surely destroyed a structure.

Attack and Destroy can demolish all the buildings expept buildings representing the social structure (Common House Council House, Town Hall). These can be destroyed only if there are not other buildings up. If the attack is against a social structure after having demolished all the structures of the higher level, the attack continues against the structure of the lower level. If you destroy the social building also the social structure vanishes. .


3. Attack/Expel
: If you win the target with an high probability will be expelled from his location and transfered to anothe location. You can use this attack only against single castles not belonging to a social structure. .


4. Attack/Conquer
: this option can be used only to conquer Pentakor sources dislocated along Pentakor poles, versant A and L: Conquer is available only for private sorcerer armies. If attack and conquer has been successfull, the winner army stay at the source conquered and you begin to get additional energies. The army dislocated at the source is visibile under the armies list in Battle Mirror and you can call back it when you want


5. To militia
: This option lets you to send your private army to structure militia. When they arrive, they become controlled by Nomarch or Officials. These armies continue to use your resources and not structure resources.


6. Transfer
: you can transfer your armies to another sorcerer or to a structure. Armies belonging to a social structure cannot be transfered to a single sorcerer. You can transfer them only to a lower social structure or to another structure of your state (Polis).

 

 

Poles of Pentacore. Capture and Control of Sources


There are sourches the analogs of the energy’s crystals in the Megarons of the ancient mags. Now these sourches are produce different quantity and different types of the energies. Having got in his control some location, the player got control on its sourches. These locations must be kept by the army of the player and may be captured by other players.

There is only one course in the left castle, and it is in the Megaron only. Disposition of the pole’s sourches is shown on the pole’s map. It may be kept by unites or occupied by someone of the players. It is known, that there is definite tie between power of the wild armies, and sourches which they keeps.

If the army were sent by you on the pole, will get a victory, than this army automatically became the guard of the sourches, and you begin to get additional energy. These armies are not reputed as army in the campaign, and limit on the quantity of the armies don’t act on them. If you will return your army from the ruins, in some time wild place will be there again. You may pass several armies on the guard of the sourches, and than return the part of the armies. The armies were sent in different time don’t join to each other. You will see them in the battle’s mirror as separate detachments. But in cause of attack, they will fight together. All action of artifacts and spells have been put by you, acts on the course’s guard.

it is impossible to destroy, increase or build the sourches. But their power can change. You can see the power of the course in the captured Megaron. In order do this click on the course.  Also all sourches are shown in your mirror of life.

You may enter into the knocked house by the help of the masterkey’s spell. If there is not guard near the house, you can get there from the Nom’s square.


In Megaron of ancient sorcerer castle there are the Sources: they are similar to Energy Crystal of your castle. These Sources are still active and producte different form of energies. If you conquer and control a ruin, a sorcerer can get Source access and get energies from that Source. At the Source it is better to leave a garrison to defend it, because they can be conquered by other Sorcerers.

In a ruined Castle could be one only Sources (or cannot be a Source) and if there is, it is in the Megaron. Sources is showed on Poles Pentakor map. They can be defended also by rage guardian which belong to anyone. It is well known that more powerful is the Source, more rage Guardian to defend it you will meet.

If army sent to conquer the Source wins, automatically becomes the garrison for the Source and sorcerer begins to receive energy from it. These armies are not "in mission" so limitation about how many armies you can control are not considered. If you call back armies from the Source, leaving it without defense, after a while the Source will be conquered by rage Guardian and you will lose it. Armies sent in different times to the Source are not showed like an unique army, but in case of fight they will fight together.


It is impossible to upgrade, destroy or build Sources, but his power can change during time. Source type and yearly productivity are shown clickin on it, or controlling in Life Mirror in Producted Energies menu.


If the ruined castle is full of rage guardians you can enter freely from the Nom square but you need a LockPick spell, but entering Source will not become yours. If the ruined castle is empty you can enter.
