Creating Your Kingdom

What location should I choose?

No one can answer this for you. You will get different bonuses for different things. Such as, if you live in the woods, you will have an abundance of lumber. So chose according to what you believe will help you the most.

How many kingdoms may I create?

Each player is allowed to have only one kingdom. This is a game rule. If you try to register more than one account, one or all accounts may be deleted, and your active account may be placed in a suspended status (jail).

If a family member is wanting to also play from the same computer, you must first contact the admin, Blackpawn, and let him know so that your acount does not get flagged.

After creation, there are implied rules in which you should follow. Interaction with the account is okay, but a high rate of interaction is cause to believe the accounts are dual accounts being played by the same player.

If it appears that the second account is being used to just harvest materials for the first account, or if the second account always appears to have its citizens stolen by the first account, this is cause enough to get the accounts deleted and/or suspended. The less interaction the two kingdoms have with one another, the better and less suspicious it is.

Can I give my kingdom to another player?

Kingdoms may not be given to other players, or shared. This is a game rule. If you no longer want your kingdom, then delete it ( for the updated version, round 3).

General Game Basics

Game Ticks and Game Time

Game time is measured by ticks. Each tick is 15 minutes in real time. With each tick, you receive resources gained from the citizens you have trained to gather those resources, and you gain 1 spy attempt.

**Durring Hyper Rounds, game ticks are 5 minutes in real time**

What is protection mode?

Protection mode is to help new kingdoms get started. While in protection mode, you cannot be spied on, or attacked. This is only temporary, and the status is removed automatically when the duration is up. You can see how much longer you will be in this status by checking the ticks that remain.

How do I check my status?

To check your Kingdom’s status, click on the Kingdom Status link on the Kingdom Menu on the left. There is really too much information contained here to try and explain everything on it. Some main points would be your upgrade levels, your resource production per tick, and your military return time. This page can be very useful in planning your next move.

What is vacation mode?

Vacation mode is a setting you may enable that will make your kingdom inactive while you are away. This also makes it to where no one else can attack or spy on you. But to keep this from being abused, you must wait an initial 16 ticks before your account will go into vacation mode.

During this time, you will continue to gain resources, and other kingdoms can spy on you and attack you, but you can not spy on or attack anyone else, train citizens, or place money in the bank. This keeps players from using this feature to hide behind so their kingdom is not attacked.

Also, you can not attend to your kingdom while in vacation mode, and must disable vacation mode before playing again. Please note that vacation mode lasts only 7 days, at which time your kingdom will become active again, and you will be open to attacks and spy attempts.

Can someone else babysit my account?

This is okay to do, as long as they will not be playing your kingdom for a prolonged period of time. One day is okay, but if you will be away for more than that, you should place your kingdom in vacation mode. But remember. If you have someone else babysit your account, make sure you can trust them. You will not be reimbursed for anything you may lose during that time.

What are citizens for?

Citizens are the foundation of your Kingdom. They do everything from gather resources for your kingdom, to defend it with their lives. If you want your kingdom to grow, then you need your population to grow.

What are upgrades for?

Upgrades help your kingdom in many ways. They help you gain more resources, gain larger living quarters, and be more efficient. Upgrades are a major part of the game, and are needed if you plan on getting on top.

How do I make a lot of money?

The basic way to make money is to train gold miners. The more gold miners that you have trained, the more money you will gain every tick. You may also sell your excess resources to the market for a set price, or to other players at an amount that you specify. Also, upgrading your gold mining level will produce more gold per gold miner.

How do I train citizens?

To train your citizens, click on the Training Camp link on the Kingdom Menu on the left. You are given the following information: the name of the unit, the total amount of citizens you already have trained of that unit, the offense and defense each unit has, the net worth of one unit, and the amount of food and gold each unit will cost in order to train them.

To train citizens, simply enter the number of citizens you want to train into the ‘Amount’ field, and click the ‘Train’ button. As long as you have the needed resources, you will have trained your citizens. You may also choose to untrain citizens in order to train them as other units.

What is spying?

Spying is the act of retrieving information about someone else’s kingdom, or stealing resources/citizens. In order to spy successfully, you must overcome their natural defense and their spying defense (which their natural defense is not the same as their military defense). On any spy mission, you can lose spies.

To spy on someone, go to the
Kingdoms page, and click the ‘S’ to the right of the kingdom’s name in the ‘Commands’ column in which you wish to spy on. Select the mission you want your spies to perform, enter the number of spies you wish to send, and click the ‘Send Spies’ button.

What is Land for?

Land is needed so that you may build more buildings in your kingdom. One building will take up one land.

How do I gain more land?

One way of gaining land is to attack another kingdom and win. If you do not feel like attacking someone, then you will want to explore the land by going to the Explore link in the left hand menu.

What is an assassin?

An assassin can be used to make attempts to kill off opponent kingdoms generals.

Why can't I train all of my citizens?

Not all of your citizens are men and women of working age. And some of them just choose not to work. You can help this by gaining more honor points, as well as building more homes for new citizens to build a bigger working class.

How do I train more citizens?

For citizens to work, there need to be enough jobs for them. The Training Camp page shows the available jobs for each job. To gain more job space, you must build more Buildings of that type. This will give you more space to train citizens.

What is an inactive kingdom?

An inactive kingdom is any kingdom account that has not been logged into for 3 consecutive days. If you know you will not be able to log into your account, you should put your account in vacation mode. Inactive kingdoms lose 90% of their defense while their status is inactive.

Alliance Basics

How do I desolve my alliance?

If you wish to dissolve you alliance, you can do so by going to the Alliance Leaders section of your alliance, and removing yourself from your alliance. A private message will be sent to your alliance members letting them know that the alliance has been dissolved.

What is peace time?

Peace time is achieved when two kingdoms that are at war with one another ends the war. At that time, the two kingdoms are automatically at peace with one another. This lasts a set amount of ticks, and the two alliances may not attack each other until the time limit has passed. The only way around this is if one of the alliances goes to war with a different alliance. That will remove the peace between the two alliances.
