When playing Tribal Wars you are expected to follow our Game Rules. Tribal Wars Support Staff and Moderators, at their own discretion, reserve the right to enforce punishment on any accounts deemed to be in violation of our Game Rules. Any requests or directions from Tribal Wars Support Staff and Moderators are expected to be followed. Failure to adhere to such requests or directions may result in action being taken against individuals. Tribal Wars Support Staff and Moderators actively seek accounts that breach the Game Rules and take positive action to remove cheats from the game.
If you are unsure whether your potential actions are against the rules, then you should submit a Support Ticket prior to undertaking the actions.
§1) One Account Per Player
Each player is allowed only one account per game world. This does not include accounts which people are sitting through the Account Sitting feature. Sharing your password with another player is forbidden.
Examples:
1. It is allowed to play with more than one player on one computer. However, players are only allowed to play their own account and not their family members or friends, and must continue to follow §2. Every player has to chose his/her own password and may not share it with the other players.
2. You may not login to any other account using the other player's password. To be allowed to log into somebody else's account, they must set you as an account sitter using the Account Sitting (Settings -> Account Sitting) feature.
3. It is strictly forbidden to force entry to an account or login unauthorised. Unsuccessful attempts to other players' accounts are logged and will be punished.
4. Guessing the password of another player is also forbidden. Please choose passwords that cannot be guessed easily. We will not restore accounts or troops that are lost because a password was chosen that is easy to guess.
§2) Players Sharing an Internet Connection
While players are sharing an internet connection (and 24 hours thereafter) they are not allowed to supply, support or attack each other, attack coordinated or interact in any other way. Regular sharing of a connection has to be reported (Settings -> Share Internet Connection) and all interaction is forbidden permanently for those accounts.
Detailed explanation:
This rule applies to anybody that shares a computer or network with one or more players. A shared network could be one household, your job or school. All players that knowingly share an internet connection regularly have to add each other using the Share Internet Connection feature.
Examples:
1. It is not allowed to use an account in any way that profits another account on the same connection.
2. Players sharing an internet connection are not allowed to attack, supply or support the same player.
3. Players sharing an internet connection are not allowed to attack, supply or support each other.
4. It is forbidden to use a third account to send resources between accounts on the same internet connection. In that case all 3 accounts are breaking the rules.
5. It is forbidden to use an account on your connection to retaliate against players on behalf of an account on the same connection.
6. Players sharing an internet connection are allowed to attack different players from the same tribe.
§3) Account sitting
While a player is account sitting for another player, no interactions (attack/supply/support/co-ordinated attacks or support) are allowed between any accounts played on the account sitters internet connection (including friends, family and colleagues on the same connection). That includes all accounts, that are being account sat by players on that connection.
All interactions are forbidden until 24 hours after the account sitting mode has been canceled.
It is not allowed to sit an account and use it just to push other accounts. Accounts that are clearly used as pushaccounts in this way will be banned.
Everything stated in §2 has to be followed.
Players and sitters are equally responsible for the actions of any sat account. Make sure you can trust the person you choose as sitter or whose account you are sitting.
Examples:
1. It is allowed for you to attack and conquer villages with the account you are account sitting.
2. It is allowed for you to attack different players from the same tribe with your own account and the account you are account sitting for (i.e. separate attacks on separate players).
3. It is forbidden to write a player to find out if he is in the account for an attack planned from another account on your connection.
4. It is not allowed to use an account in any way that profits another account on the same connection.
5. It is forbidden to support or attack another player on the same internet connection as the account sitter.
6. It is not allowed to attack a player that is sat by anyone on your internet connection.
7. It is strictly forbidden to attack or support the same player from your own account and the account you are sitting.
8. It is forbidden to permanently play an account you are sitting just to push other accounts, even if the other accounts are on a different internet connection.
9. It is forbidden to send one way resource transports without a benefit for the account (i.e. trade for villages or troops) from an account that is primarily sat and not played by its account owner.
If you are sitting an account and you have realized that the account owner is not returning as promised, you may send in a support ticket (link) and ask for the account to be deleted.
Accounts are only deleted if the account has been sat for at least 2 months and the same sitter has been in place for at least 1 month.
(An account with active premium cannot be deleted because one of the advantages of premium is protection against deletion. The only exception would be if it is clearly visible that the account sitter purchased the premium account.)
§4) Merging of accounts
It is generally allowed for a player to allow one or more other players to take over the accounts villages without a fight.
(Villages still have to be taken over by noblement, there is no way to just transfer villages to another account.)
However, there are a few restrictions that have to followed:
Accounts on the same internet connection may not merge.
This includes accounts that have previously been played exclusivly or almost exclusively from the same internet connection.
Account sitters may only give away villages from an account you are sitting if asked to do so by the account owner or if the account owner has not returned after 3 months of continuous sitting. (As always, the account sitter may NOT attack until at least 24 hours after the sitting has been cancelled.)
Only a support ticket counts as proof.
Examples:
1. The only way to leave proof that you give your sitter permission is to open a support request. (PLEASE set the support request to done yourself so that will not show up in our visible to-do list, but can be found if looked for.)
2. No other forms of proof will be accepted. Accounts without that will be punished and no excuses will be accepted.
3. Do not ask us if we will accept a mail or any other medium. If no support ticket has been send you either have to wait 3 months, or you have to end sitting and attack like that
4. An account sitter is not allowed to gift resources to any other account even if he has permission to gift villages.
