Economics & Resources
In total, there are three different types of resources that are very much needed by Europe's citizens, namely food, building materials, and energy. Luckily all those resources are available on the European territory.
At the beginning of your governance, your country will consist of 10 different provinces. Each province has a focus on one single resource that is being produced in large amounts to be shared throughout the nation.
Important facts:
1. Some provinces produce nearly twice the amount of resources than others.
They are marked with two resource icons in the strategic map.
2. Most resources have a minimum need per day and per province.
3. Resource production is dependent on the contentedness or morale of the people living there.
4. Both, morale and production can be boosted by providing additional infrastructure to the province.
Food
Food is the most important resource in Europe and it is needed in large amounts by your people. While in many continental provinces grain can be harvested, many coastal regions provide good opportunities for fishing.

1.200 tons per day and province. |
Severe drop of morale. |
Grain
|
At least 500 / 1.200 tons |
Severe drop of morale. |
Fish
|
No minimum amount of fish needed. |
How to read this: The total consumption of a type of resources is larger than the amount of the single needs. The additional request can be satisfied by any of the resources in that category. In this case this means, that each province requires 1.200 tons of food per province per day and 500 of these 1.200 tons have to be grain. It does not matter if the additional 700 are filled up with grain or with fish.
Building Material
In order to maintain and improve the infrastructure of your country as well as to produce high-tech weaponry in your factories, you need as the underlying basis lumber and iron ore.

Energy
Energy in all kinds is one of the resources with a most disputatious character. While coal will probably be needed in the later phases of your government to supply those new railways everyone is rumoring about, oil is the number one resource to keep your military running. Gas on the other hand serves as an excellent power supply in order to reach the daily minimum need saving lots of the other energy resources.
Both, the building and energy resources will gain more and more relevance when the upcoming industrialization of your country becomes capable of producing the most powerful machineries on the continent.

Industry & Trade
Under this icon in your command center you can find the Department of Industry and Trade. This is closely related to the resources that have just been introduced as the following information and action possibilities can be found here:
|
1. See your daily production of all resources and compare it with your daily needs. 2. Specify a "Preferred to Use" resource. 3. Trade with other leaders. 4. Trade with the global market. |
