Factory Productions

If a province has a working factory upgrade, it is able to produce advanced weapon technologies. These allow more advanced strategies and are essential in the later course of the game. This list gives an overview over the different types of weapons and their features.

Artillery

1. costs 10,000 pounds, 3,000 iron ore and 2000 oil

2. production time 2 days

3.speed: 25 km/h, strength: 1.0, range: 50 km

Tanks

1. costs 20,000 pounds, 5,000 iron ore and 3000 oil

2. production time 3 days

3. speed: 36 km/h, strength: 3.0

Railguns

1. needs at least one finished Artillery to become available

2. needs factory and railway in same province

3. can only move on railways or sea

4. costs 50,000 pounds, 10,000 iron ore and oil, 5,000 lumber and coal each

5. production time 6 days

6. speed: 12.5 km/h, strength: 3.0, range: 150 km

Battleships

1. needs at least one finished Artillery to become available

2. needs factory and harbor in same province

3. can only move on sea

4. costs 50,000 pounds, 15,000 iron ore, 5,000 lumber, 10,000 coal, 5,000 oil

5. production time 6 days

6. speed: 30 km/h, strength: 6.0, range: 75 km

Remarks:

1. The default speed of infantry units, is 36 km/h if enough oil is available. Railroads increase this speed, typically by a factor of 2.5 (infantry therefore moves at 90 km/h on railroads. Armies are slowed down in foreign countries - depending whether they move in friendly or enemy territory. On sea, the speed of all land-based units is 22 km/h. See the next page for more information on unit speed.

2. The strength of a normal infanty brigade (1.000 men / 1 unit) is 1.0. Battleships are therefore the most powerful weapons as they have a combat strength equivalent to that of 6.000 men.

3. Sea transportation: All land units in transport ships have a reduced strength of 0.5.

4. Battleships and Railguns are highly sophisticated bombardment weapons. You have to have build at least one artillery to become able to build such powerful weapons.
